Do you fear that you’ll be only surrounded by chemistry and technology and cultural activities will have to be set aside? You don’t want to study all the time, but rather start a choir, a film club or a band? In that case, UNI-ART is the right thing for you! We will gladly help you launch any project of artistic character, find more enthusiasts (not just from our ranks), and acquaint you with active people at UCT.  In any case, you can be our fan and attend our events we hold at the campus.

What is UNI-ART?

UNI-ART is a student association at UCT, founded in the spring of 2016 in order to organise an exhibition of scientific photography of artistic value. This exhibition was a great success which gave us the right impulse and motivation to continue with artistic activities and try to broaden the cultural and social life at our school. Soon after the exhibition, we arranged the first festival of music and theatre “U Komína” (i.e. “By the Chimney”) and also the recruitment of our first members. As of today, UNI-ART has more than 25 members and each year it organises more than ten art-culture events.

What have we already accomplished?

Our record consists of multiple events we organised entirely by ourselves, including several exhibitions of scientific photography, concerts, literary evenings or even festivals of music and theatre. We also established the university choir Chemchór or the summer theatre at our school's courtyard.
